I moved to Seattle from Philadelphia two years ago, and I love it here. There are so many young, fun and educated people. Downtown is safe and clean. And, regardless of what you like to do, there’s something out there for you.
So, this is a quick shout-out to all the other groups, as well as a few of our “sub-groups”. There’s something for everyone!
BEAN:
“BEAN is a networking, volunteering and social group for Seattle young professionals with 4,222 members.”
“The Crew is Seattle Rep’s dynamic social and subscriber group for under-40 professionals and is 200 members strong. Crew members subscribe to the theatre on specially designed Crew Nights and are invited to attend “Members Only” Crew-sponsored events. In addition to providing Crew subscribers with a chance to socialize with old and new friends, Crew events often include unique behind-the-scenes opportunities to hear from the cast, producers, playwrights, and staff at the Seattle Rep about how plays are produced. “
“Seattle social and networking club that plans fun and engaging events for its members. Our main demographic is smart & savvy professionals in their 20’s, 30’s & 40’s.”
We hold events every month or so, and our members tend to be in their 20s or early 30s. Join either the Facebook group or our evite list (add yourself here). Our major monthly events get sent out to both lists, but only the facebook group gets the related events (soccer, running, skiing, nights at the theatre, etc).
Seattle Anti-Freeze Indoor Soccer Team:
“Who’s up for kicking it? A soccer ball, that is. We’re starting up a co-rec soccer team to play monday nights, and a men’s team in Redmond, and we’ll be organizing post-game dinners / drinks. Join our team!”
“We typically train on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Some of our runners are fast, some are slow, but most are fun. We often break bread and enjoy some drinks after our runs.”
Seattle Anti-Freeze Ski & Snowboard Bums:
“How does one survive the long Seattle winter? On one’s skis and snowboard of course! We will be putting together some day trips and some over-nighters.”
If any of these sound like your kind of thing, join up!
