Thursday is Irene’s 21st birthday. While I’ve never met Irene, Lia assures me that she’s awesome. We have therefore decided to co-host a party in her honor.

Here’s the evite text:

You might be asking yourself who is Irene? Many adjectives describe Irene: cool, awesome, sweet, hot, and…turning-21. But Irene is not just turning 21 (finally) but she’s also brand new to Seattle.

You might have heard of something called the “Seattle Freeze” – this is the term used to describe how people in Seattle are polite, but never invite you out to play. Let’s show Irene that this is wrong.

This Thursday instead will be what Gayle and I will refer to as the “anti-Freeze”. Here’s the deal: I’m going to send this out to all of our usual fun people. You, in turn, know more fun people. Forward this to everyone you know. They don’t have to know me, Gayle, Irene, or even anyone else, just make sure they’re ready to rock steady for Irene’s huge 21st.

We – that includes you, me, Gayle, Irene and everyone else invited – will meet up on Thursday at 9pm to toast Irene’s first LEGAL drink and then head out to Pesos for a good time.

I should also add that Irene has been known to get wild and crazy – I’m pretty sure that means she’ll fit in with every single one of us (*cough* toga party). AND WHAT WOULD THURSDAY BE IF IT WEREN’T A SHIT SHOW 21ST BIRTHDAY STYLE!?

***We’re meeting at Andiamo at 9pm and then Peso’s at 10pm***

- The birthday girl Irene will be wearing a happy birthday tiara. Let’s make sure she has crapulous 21st birthday! (crapulous: adj. marked or characterized by excessive drinking)
- I will be wearing a pink flowered lei and Lia’s will be blue. We’ll be easy to spot. If you can’t find us, text me.
- We have beads for everyone else in our large party. Extras will be given to the first few people – you can grab one from them

9pm – roof top of Andiamo (626 4th Ave. W in Queen Anne).
10pm – Peso’s (605 Queen Anne Ave N). Show up early, because Peso’s gets a good crowd on Thursdays. Plus, early people get lots of beads
